Andres:
The Soul of the Journey
Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Andres is a proud “Paisa” who finds gratitude in every small act of kindness. A firm believer that God is in control, his calm and "chill" attitude is a testament to his faith. Andres is a dreamer who never gives up; he chips away at his goals daily, proving that all things are possible when you walk toward them—even if you walk slowly.
His passions lie somewhere between the soccer field (where he has spent a lifetime as both a player and referee) and the ice cream parlor (ask him about Rum Raisin!). At heart, Andres is a poet who finds solace in the written word. He is the kind of friend you can always count on—helping others is his true love language. Put him in nature with his pups, and his positive spirit truly soars.
Sherry:
The Planner & Creative Force
A first-generation American born to Costa Rican parents, Sherry expertly balances both her cultures and languages. As a neurodivergent traveler, she possesses a never-ending curiosity that has led her through four different career paths. She refused to be boxed in, eventually fulfilling her dream of becoming a professional Chef. While she now primarily cooks for loved ones, the kitchen is where she truly shines.
As an Interior Designer, Sherry’s eye for aesthetics is reflected in every inch of La Chata. Ironically, her first degree in Tourism and Administration perfectly prepared her for this current stage of life: Freedom. She is the visionary and the master planner, blessed with a husband who jumps into every "crazy" adventure without question because he trusts her roadmap.

Crimini & Enoki: The Mushroom Brothers
These two Maltipoo/Shih Tzu brothers may share DNA, but they couldn't be more different!
Crimini is the "velcro dog"—taller, chubbier, and wonderfully needy. He’s glued to our hips, whimpers if we’re gone for ten minutes, and is the first to jump into bed for morning snuggles.
Enoki (our "Flaco") is shorter, thinner, and possesses the gentlest of souls. He’s a bit of a loner with a "don't bother me" attitude when he's resting, yet he’s the loudest one to scream with joy the moment we walk back through the door.
Ginger: The Spicy Spunk is our feisty, spunky Poodle mix who turned our lives upside down in the best way possible. At just 9lbs, she is a brave little conundrum—smart enough to get into trouble and bold enough to make us proud of her mischief. She is the spice of the pack!

"La Chata": Our Mighty '91 Toyota Dolphin
La Chata (Spanish for "Flat Face") is our home on wheels. We have painstakingly remodeled this 1991 Toyota RV with our own blood, sweat, and tears. Named in honor of our late Shih Tzus, she is the toughest camper we know. She won't get us anywhere fast, but she reminds us that the journey matters more than the destination.
She isn't a fan of heat or steep hills, but at a snail’s pace, she has conquered the highest passes in the U.S. and navigated rough roads to find "million-dollar" views that no hotel could match. She isn't just a vehicle; she’s a baby we cherish.
"La Honey": The Adventure Addition
If La Chata is the house, La Honey is our getaway car. This Honda Trail 125cc mini-motorcycle is the newest member of the family. She handles the tight spots, rough terrain, and quick market runs that are too tricky for the RV. Best of all? Our "fluffy butts" (the pups) love riding with Andres, feeling the breeze through their fur as they explore the world in style.
